Recycled Wool Sweater Mittens - small
Handmade Wool Mittens from Recycled Sweaters
Each pair of Northern Smittens starts with a wool sweater found at a local thrift store. The sweaters are washed in hot water and dried on high heat to felt the wool, creating a thick, warm fabric. They are then cut and sewn into mittens and lined with soft fleece for extra warmth and comfort.
Because I work with recycled sweaters, every pair is unique. Colours, patterns and wool textures will vary from pair to pair, and once a pair is gone, there usually isn't another one exactly like it.
Northern Smittens are warm, comfortable and made for Canadian winters, whether you're out for a walk, shovelling snow or just trying to keep your hands warm on a cold morning.
